Alastor guzman

Alejandro Guzman has lead different synthetic biology projects at the biggest public university in Mexico, where he focused on local problems in healthcare and alternatives for agriculture around Mexico city. Coming from a public education he helped put the spotlight on synthetic biology as an alternative in biotechnology for biology students and get support from the university for student lead projects. He has also worked on different projects for science education in high schools. He is working on a thesis about the history of synthetic biology in Mexico and its impact in the country. He is Co-founder of Scintia, startup focused on making biotechnology and synthetic biology accessible in emerging economies.
