Alexander Bartkowiak

I'm a 17-year- old with a passion for science and a unique mind. Traditional education used to consume my life, now I have the chance to write my own curriculum. After placing 3rd at the Florida state science fair, while still under the stress of extreme academic performance, my innate love for science began to flourish. I reached out to a local organization called Sci House and have been interning with them ever since. I have begun working on my own projects using the practical lab skills I have acquired. My main interests revolve around environmental science, with a focus on climate change prevention. I want to learn as much as can from varying fields of science to help combat the world’s toughest problems. My current research involves exploring the material properties and application of Chitosan, and the development of Genetically Engineered trees as a method of combating global warming.
