Ananda Gabo

Ananda Gabo is a food witch, MRE eater, bioenthusiast, and aspiring farm nerd.

They currently work as education lead for the Toronto Youth Food Policy Council, advisor of policy & practices for iGEM Toronto, and a cook at a restaurant that focuses on fermentation in craft brews (there is a yeast lab!) + foods (and a microbe fart room!).

Sometimes they co-organize biology workshops at the Science Discovery Zone at Ryerson University or in secret squats (where anyone can attend).

Their experiences have spanned from building make shift operating rooms with their mom in humanitarian aid projects, working in a robotics factory in China, visiting/working on organic farms around the world and going on factory tours.

Their main focus explores the potentials for farming practices within the intersections of permaculture and industrial agriculture.
