Arunav Konwar

I am a final year undergraduate of a 5-year dual degree program, pursuing an MSc degree in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from Birla Institute of Technology and Science(BITS) Pilani, India. Presently I am working on problems in Computer Vision and Machine Learning at CVIT, IIIT Hyderabad, India, as part of my undergraduate thesis. 

I have a wide range of interests and I am passionate about doing interdisciplinary research to approach problems from different perspectives. 

As an intern, I had previously worked on building low-cost healthcare and diagnostic tools for Indian masses with MIT Media

Lab's Camera Culture Group in Hyderabad, India. And, on another occasion enabling lifelong learning amongst the old and the partially-abled by building tools with the Lifelong Kindergarten Group of the Media Lab.

When I'm not doing any of the above, I would generally be found playing the guitar for my bands, and writing and producing music.
