From 1986-2002, Linda Stone worked in a variety of executive positions, ranging from marketing to research, to senior management, at both Apple and Microsoft. Linda was a pioneer in the area of multimedia in the 1980's, and a pioneer in social media in the early 1990's. She's coined a few phrases that have become memes: continuous partial attention, screen apnea, and email apnea. Linda studies the psychophysiology of our relationship to technology and considers how our relationship with technology can evolve to support the regulation of attention and emotion.
