Marie-Therese has a research background in biotech and gene therapy. As a mixed Caribbean and Chinese individual in the realm of science and technology, Marie-Therese founded Implikit, a neurotechnology initiative  born at the MIT Media Lab, seeking to decrease implicit racial bias using VR and neuroimaging. 

She working with EMW as Youth Science Coordinator, engaging youth from minority communities in science. She is also Co-Director of Brain & Cognition at the HKS Future Society where she researches AI, civic engagement, and government advisory on technology policy.
