Matias Kaplan is a Stanford bioengineering PhD student in Christina Smolke's lab. His work focuses on understanding the sequence-structure relationship of ligand-sensing RNA switches. He hopes to work with others inside and outside of the community to create a more equitable world through organizing and engineering.
