Matt Walsh

Matt is Associate Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory where he performs applied synthetic biology experiments with national security and human health applications. He has a particular interest in supporting science education in unconventional settings, including community biology labs. To further this goal, he performs risk assessments of advances in biotechnology and thinks about effective ways to communicate such information to broad audiences. Matt is a class of 2018 Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity Initiative Fellow.
