Melissa Bromley is the Development Director for Media Alliance, a nonprofit based in one of the most economically and ecologically disenfranchised neighborhoods New York State.

Since 2005 Media Alliance has been building an arts and environmental campus in North Central Troy, NY. We operate indoor and outdoor presenting and production facilities (The Sanctuary for Independent Media and Freedom Square), a community radio station (WOOC 105.3 FM), urban gardens (Collard City Growers), youth programs (Uptown Summer and Youth Media Sanctuary), and our STE(a)M learning project (NATURE Lab).

NATURE Lab educates the public about the devastating environmental and public health issues surrounding us, implements creative collaborative solutions, and empowers our community to make positive changes from the grassroots up. With the help of a grant from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, we’re thrilled to be renovating a long-abandoned building on our block into a home for NATURE Lab that will exponentially grow our STE(a)M programming.
