Cubo Mateo received a Bacherlo's Degree from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, concentrating in electronics and automatic engineering and a MS in Material Sciences. After graduating, she worked in the Department of Bioengineering and Aerospace Engineering two years as a research assistant, studying tissue engineering in the framework of regenerative medicine and 3D Printing. She's continuing that research as a Ph.D. candidate at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and she is the founder and main contributor of OpenBioprinting.org
