A science enthusiast, a reader, a mentor and a teacher, Sangden has always dreamed of being a social activist that can change society. She believes working with young minds is the way to live this dream. As young girl she hated science and math. Both subjects were difficult to understand and boring for her. After spending 6 months at Karkhana, as a Maker Mentor she saw first hand how these subjects can be taught in a fun and engaging way which makes them relevant to daily life. Sangden earned a Bachelor's degree in Major English and Sociology. Her favorite part of being a teacher is helping young girls develop their interest in Science, Math and Technology. .
