Sarah is a biotechnology graduate busy in programming cells during the day while, working on her artworks by night. The canvas is no more of her use. She draws using her new art medium, i.e. agar plates, with the colors from her engineered bacteria and those she has collected from nature. She believes the future of technology relies heavily on biologists working together with artists and designers. She is a Research Assistant in Dr Faisal Khan’s group and an iGEM veteran from Pakistan. She actively participates in and supports STEAM outreach and loves discussing the wonderful era of bioart that has yet to come.
