I am a biotechnology student at the University of the Armed Forces in Ecuador. Currently I am working in projects like developing a better and affordable treatment for Leishamania and diagnosis of working animals from poor farmers. Also I would like to develop an iron supplement for children in the rural Andes, and the technology to allow poor people to produce it in a sustainable way. Besides I am interested in incorporating medicinal plants in people's life with a scientific approach, taking advantage of my country's ancestral knowledge and current scientific development.
