Shannon is a graduate student at the MIT Media Lab in the Synthetic Neurobiology group. Her scientific interests range widely from directed evolution and neurobiology to plant- and fungi-derived technology. In her spare time, she loves engaging the community in biology through mentoring, teaching, and volunteering with Street Bio.
