Xheni Mucelli

My name is Xheni Mucelli and I am a recent Biology graduate from UMass Boston (class of 2018). As an undergraduate student I spent close to two years in a molecular biology lab studying the mechanisms controlling membrane development and morphology during sporulation in the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. I spent my time there learning about how prospore membrane development and closure are regulated. I will be a masters student in a new graduate school in collaboration with MIT- The Woodrow Wilson Academy of Teaching and Learning. I hope to open the world of biotechnology to the future scientists in my future classroom.
